What’s included with my booking?
Your rental includes access to the full space, all available furniture, and standard amenities. Additional AV equipment is available upon request for an added fee.

What does the cleaning fee cover? Do I need to clean?
You’re responsible for basic tidying—collecting garbage into the bags provided and leaving them at the front entrance. The cleaning fee covers deep cleaning and sanitization after your event.

What are the rules around alcohol?
If you’re serving alcohol, a valid Special Event Permit is required. We ask all guests to enjoy responsibly—reckless or disruptive behavior is not tolerated.

How many people can the space accommodate?
The studio can host up to 100 guests. Certain events may be subject to additional cleaning fees and a refundable damage deposit.

Are pets allowed?
Please contact us in advance if you'd like to bring a pet. We handle these requests case by case.

Can I move the furniture in the studio?
Yes! We encourage you to make the space your own. Please lift (not drag) furniture and return everything to its original layout before leaving.

What if I go over my booked time?
Your booking time must include setup and cleanup. There is a 15-minute grace period, after which overtime is charged in 30-minute increments. Please note: extensions may not be possible due to other bookings.

Where is the studio located and how do I access the space?
We’re located at 52 Powell Street in Gastown, Vancouver. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll meet you at the front door to let you in, show you around, and answer any questions you may have.

Is there a minimum rental time?
Yes, the minimum booking time is 2 hours.

What is the parking situation?
There is metered street parking in Gastown, along with several nearby pay lots. Please note some street parking has time restrictions. There is also a commercial loading zone directly in front of the building for easy drop-offs.

Is the studio accessible?
Due to the building’s historic nature, there is no elevator access. The studio is located on the 4th floor via stairs only.

Can I view the studio before booking?

Can we bring our own decorations?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own decor. We just ask that you don’t use nails, screws, or tape that could damage paint or surfaces.

Can we bring food and drinks for our event?
Yes, food and beverages are welcome. The studio has a small kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge, and microwave. If you plan to serve alcohol, you must obtain a Special Event Permit from the BC government: Apply Here.

What is the lighting in the studio?
Celeste Studios is a natural light space with large north and east facing windows and beautiful daylight. That said, lighting varies with weather and time of day. Photographers are welcome to bring additional lighting—there are ample outlets and extension cords available.

What is your cancellation policy?
